First, I wanted to thank those of you who attended my event in
February. It was a huge success and I am pleased to let you know that on Saturday, July 11th I will be returning to the Karpeles for another spectacular evening of poetry and spoken word. When a woman speaks, it is our duty to listen! Ladies and gentlemen join me for an amazing evening as some of the city’s greatest performing artists put on the showof a lifetime! This event is a dedication to the women of spoken word because without them the scene would not be what it is today. I have had the privilege of sharing the stage with each one of them and am always inspired and enlightened as I know you will be too. See you there!

This month’s theme is called “Willing Yourself On Stage” and focuses on the three steps needed to make the transition from recording one’s “thoughts” on a piece of paper to performing them in front of a live audience. You are invited to one of the best open mic showcases in town. Hosted by Moe, the poetry spot is located inside Arielles fine dining restaurant on 7707Arlington Expressway. The performers are the cream of the crop and I will be the featured artist for the evening so make sure you come out to the spot. I guarantee you’ll love it. I will be performing at Jacksonville University in the Terry Concert Hall @ 7:00pm. This event is free to the public so come out and witness some of the best performers this city has to offer.

Moe the poet will be hosting Cuban’s spot and I will be the feature!!! The venue is called Cafe 331 and is located on 331 West Forsyth street in Jacksonville, Fl. Come out and enjoy the show.
